Experienced Primary Teacher 15+ years experience
Member since August 2026
I am an experienced primary school teacher with 15 years’ experience across Key Stages 1 and 2. I have taught across the primary age range and have particular expertise in English, having worked as an English Lead for over 10 years and as a KS2 Writing Moderator. My approach is warm, encouraging and tailored to the individual child. I believe children make the most progress when they feel confident, understood and successful, so I take time to identify any gaps, build on their strengths and make learning engaging and manageable. I have extensive experience supporting children with reading, writing, phonics and maths, as well as children with SEND and those who may lack confidence in the classroom. As a parent myself, I also understand how important it is to find someone your child feels comfortable with and who can make learning feel positive rather than like extra schoolwork.

I am a qualified SENDCo with extensive experience supporting children with a wide range of additional needs. I adapt my teaching to the individual child, breaking learning into manageable steps, using clear explanations, visual and practical resources, repetition and plenty of positive reinforcement. I take time to understand how each child learns best and aim to build confidence alongside academic progress. Above all, I want children to feel safe, successful and positive about their learning.
