Before studying to be a teacher, I was a support worker for adults with additional needs, particularly young adults with Autism. This inspired me to focus on Special Educational Needs and Disabilities at University. I have first hand experience in adapting learning to support children who struggle in school. I also have experience working in schools where 80% of the children have English as an Additional Language and have trained on how to best teach these children.
