I’m an experienced UK secondary school Geography teacher specialising in AQA GCSE and A-Level Geography. My aim is simple: to help students become more confident geographers, improve their exam performance and achieve the grades they are capable of. Having taught Geography in independent school settings, I understand the demands placed on students preparing for GCSE and A-Level examinations. I know that knowing the content is only part of the challenge: students also need to understand how to apply their knowledge, interpret geographical information, develop strong arguments and write answers that gain the marks. My lessons are structured, engaging and tailored to each student. Depending on your needs, we can focus on: • AQA GCSE Geography content and revision • Exam technique and how to approach different question types • Developing high-level geographical analysis • Case studies and contemporary examples • Using figures, maps, graphs and data effectively • Improving extended answers and essay structure • Identifying exactly where marks are being lost • Building confidence before examinations. For students aiming for Grades 7–9, I place particular emphasis on moving beyond simply knowing the specification. We work on the quality of geographical thinking, application and evaluation that can make the difference between a good answer and an outstanding one.
