About
I very much enjoy teaching both biology and chemistry to young people and helping to reduce the anxiety often associated with learning science subjects at school. I find that using a variety of graphic images along with careful explanations are effective in teaching the more challenging scientific concepts. I really enjoy seeing my students becoming enthusiastic learners and making good progress in biology and chemistry. As I have worked for 18 years in medical research, I can offer tuition to University students in their early years of study.

I have experience of teaching pupils with dyslexia - usually use many graphic illustrations to explain topics and much more verbal explanation, supported with mind maps and diagrams. With pupils with autism / anxiety or mental health issues I teach much more slowly, allowing time for revision/ discussion and note- taking.
