About
I have many years' experience teaching French and Spanish in secondary state education and English in private language schools. I have also worked as a private tutor since 2012, helping students prepare for public language examinations (GCSE, IGCSE, A Level). Since 2012, I have completed a number of contracts marking GCSE examinations (French and Spanish) for AQA, Pearson Edexcel and Cambridge International Assessment. In addition to my teaching work, I have translated documents for a range of international organisations including UN Women, UNESCO, the Global Fund and the International Criminal Court. My lessons are learner centred and I adapt my teaching methods to my learner's needs and preferences. My lessons are structured, but flexible according to learning needs as they arise. Lessons usually include some form of input in order to progress the learner's skills and knowledge. I also provide opportunities for structured and freer practice and give feedback which helps the learner develop and improve.
