About

I am a recently retired Mathematics Teacher with over 30 years experience in secondary schools. During this time I have taught students, from a range of diverse backgrounds, at all levels ranging from Key Stage 3, GCSE to A-Level mathematics. My general approach to teaching has been to exercise patience, instill confidence and belief, and challenge to fulfill potential. I have a sound understanding of the National Curriculum and, over the years, I have produced a plethora of engaging resources tailored to the needs of the students. During my time in Secondary schools I undertook a variety of roles and responsibilities ranging from classroom teacher to Head of Mathematics to mentoring student teachers. Since retiring I have tutored many students online ranging from year 8 to year 12, covering exam boards such as Pearson Edexcel, AQA and WJEC. I am also currently tutoring a student from the prestigious Kings School based in London. I generally use Microsoft Teams as my teaching platform, but I have tutored students using Googlemeet. I am extremely passionate about mathematics and always look forward to taking on new clients.

PGCE Secondary education from Leeds University BEng (hons.) Mechanical Engineering. A levels in Mathematics and Physics
