About

I am a qualified, graduate, Key Stage 2 teacher, with 15 years’ experience of teaching in both the independent and maintained sectors. I have also tutored for KS1 & KS2, 7 +, 11 + and 13+ entrance exams. My strengths are teaching English Creative Writing and English Comprehension and worked for almost 10 years in an all-boys prep school as an English subject specialist. The results for Verbal Reasoning were outstanding- noted by local headmasters at the local independent secondary schools and grammar school. I have taught in Summer School workshop for Year 5 boys in July/August in preparation for 11+ and taught in a 11+ English Booster classes every week as well as a 11+ tutoring group on a Saturday afternoon. My caring, patient approach has brought excellent results and pass rates for entry into top independent and grammar schools, in London and further afield. I really enjoy teaching and instilling confidence and enjoyment in the subjects taught. My teaching is always of a high standard and, as a result, my pupils meet and frequently exceed their achievement targets. I do believe it important that pupils have a positive, enjoyable learning experience and I have a lot of happy pupils and parents/carers past and current who have witnessed the positive difference I have made in their child’s learning.
