As a qualified teacher, I bring professional teaching experience, subject knowledge and a patient, supportive approach to every tutoring session. I understand that every student learns differently, so I tailor lessons to their individual needs, abilities and goals. I offer personalised tutoring in English and Science, whether your child needs help catching up, wants to strengthen their understanding, is preparing for exams, or is aiming for higher grades. My lessons focus on more than simply learning the answers. I break down challenging concepts into clear, manageable steps, encourage students to ask questions and help them develop the confidence and independent learning skills they need to succeed. I have 8 years experience of teaching students with additional needs and learning disabilities. I take time to understand how each student learns best and tailor lessons accordingly. This may include breaking tasks into smaller, manageable steps, using clear and concise instructions, incorporating visual resources, revisiting key concepts and allowing additional processing time where needed. I provide a calm, patient and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and working at their own pace. I focus on building on individual strengths while developing areas where they may need additional support. My approach is particularly focused on building confidence, reducing anxiety around learning and helping students develop greater independence. Every learner is different, I find the approach that helps each student learn, progress.
